Raptors 905

Ben is a Toronto native who has been passionate about sports his entire life. He took that passion south of the border and graduated from Syracuse University in Upstate New York with a major in broadcasting and digital journalism. While at Syracuse, Ben broadcasted select Syracuse men’s basketball games for the local NPR station, WAER-FM. He also broadcasted Syracuse women’s basketball games on the radio for WJPZ-FM and on television for ACC Network Extra. In the summer of 2022, Ben called the morning sessions of the first Globl Jam for Sportsnet, a U23 international men’s and women’s basketball competition based in Toronto.

He has also worked in several sports outside of basketball including hockey, football, baseball, soccer, and lacrosse. He served as a fill-in play-by-play broadcaster on the Sportsnet Radio Network for seven Toronto Blue Jays games during the 2022 season. This is his first year as the radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Raptors 905.

Duane Notice (born September 7, 1994) is a professional basketball player. He played for the Raptor 905 G-League team in two seasons from 2018-2020. Duane is a current senior mens national Canada Basketball player, who has successfully competed at all levels, winning a bronze medal at the FIBA World Cup Finals, and a bronze medal at the Americup. He had an illustrious career at the University of South Carolina where he leads the university in most games played, won the Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2016 and MVP his sophomore year. His senior year he led the team as the point guard in their historic trip to the NCAA Division 1 Final Four in 2017. He has also won MVP at the Jordan Brand Classic All-Star Game in 2010.

Duane earned an honours degree in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. He has been a guest commentator for the Toronto Raptors, an internship at TNT Studios with Inside the NBA crew, co-hosted hosted the FIBA Canada 3×3 Global Jam (2022) and has his own podcast. God, Family, Respect and Sports are things he is most passionate about. When he isn’t doing research or putting in work at the gym, you can find him in the music studio, sketching, or watching movies.

Duane has three younger siblings, Marcus Carr (University of Texas), and sisters Mia and Ava.

Following the increased spotlight on racial injustice, Notice partnered with former teammate MiKyle McIntosh and his team (Hamilton Honey Badgers) to spread his message, raising money for several charities. He is an active member of his community who believes in the power of paying things forward, and speaking to youth about the importance of a good education, and the pursuit of athletics.”
