Join the City of Niagara Falls this Winter Break for fun family activities, including special holiday workshops, interactive shows and drop-in programs, between December 27, 2023 and January 5, 2024.
Registration for all winter break programming is now open, with limited spots available.
Featured programs include:
- Club Rex: Wednesday, December 27
- What: Join Club Rex and explore the newest dinosaurs and discoveries. Participants will learn how to identify dinosaur fossils with an amazing collection of skulls, teeth, claws and more!
- Where: MacBain Community Centre
- When: 1 pm & 2:30 pm
- Ages: 3 to 12

- Public Skate: Wednesday, December 27
- What: Grab your skates and head to the Gale Centre Arena for a public skate!
- Where: Gale Centre Arena (Rink #1)
- When: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

- Drive-In Movie: Thursday, December 28
- What: Participants will build and decorate a car from supplied materials. Then, we’ll hop in our cars, hand out some snacks and start our feature film: Super Mario Bros.

- Bubbleology Show: Friday, December 29
- What: This interactive show engages participants with various bubble tricks including the spinning bubble carousel and erupting bubble volcano! Exploring science-related ideas, this whimsical and educational show is a hit for all ages!

- Almost New Year’s Eve Party: Sunday, December 31
- What: Join us at the MacBain Community Centre for an Almost New Year’s Eve Party! We’ll have several craft options related to New Year’s, including DIY paper fireworks, noise makers, and party hats!

- Includes: Snacks like fruit and cookies will be available.

- Winter Break @ the Museum: January 3-5
- What: Craft a snow globe and shake up some homemade ice cream, all while exploring the Museum and a winter-themed scavenger hunt! Participants will finish the afternoon with a special movie feature – Disney’s Elemental.
