In sports, the Welland Jackfish and Barrie Baycats have announced the
schedule for their Intercounty Baseball League Dominico Cup final
matchup. The Jackfish, the 1st place team, will square off with
3rd-seeded Barrie in a best-of-seven series.

In other local sports, the Niagara Icedogs continue their OHL pre season
schedule Friday night when they visit Guelph. The Icedogs will then host
the Storm in a 7 o’clock start Saturday night at the Fleming Centre in
Beamsville.
GOJHL Golden Horseshoe Conference exhibition action continues Friday
night with the St. Catharines Falcons hosting the Welland Junior
Canadiens at the Seymour Hannah Centre. Puck drops at 7pm.
Also Friday night, the Port Colborne Sailors travel to Stratford. The
Sailors will visit Welland on Sunday night
