The City of St. Catharines has announced the official unveiling of ‘The Pull’, a commemorative art piece paying homage to the tow horses that played a crucial role in the history of the Welland Canals. The public is invited to attend the unveiling, which will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. at Lock One on Lakeport Rd. Speakers will include Bob Romeo, president-elect, Kiwanis St. Catharines Len Bates, past president, Kiwanis St. Catharines Mike Slater, chair, Port Dalhousie Beautification and Works Committee Floyd Elzinga, artists Veronica and Edwin Dam de Nogales, and St. Catharines Mayor Mat Siscoe.
