Single Car Crash in Port Colborne leads to 18 year old Arrest

Just after 12 noon Monday, Niagara Regional Police responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover in Port Colborne. Officers attended the area of Killaly Street and Elizabeth Street where a white Nissan Versa was located off the roadway in a ditch. Police determined that a lone male driver had exited the vehicle and was driven from the scene by a passerby. The vehicle sustained considerable damage. Officers determined that it was stolen from Fort Erie on Monday morning. Further investigation led officers to identify a suspect, who was located just before 5pm in the area of Garrison Road and Central Avenue. He arrested the suspect without incident.18 year-old Braedon Lorne Erikson of Fort Erie has been charged with theft of motor vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing.
