Search Warrant Results in Recovery of Firearm Illicit Drugs and Counterfeit Currency in Niagara Falls

On Thursday, a Niagara Regional Police detective observed a male and female walking on Culp Street in Niagara Falls, and recognized the male as having an active arrest warrant and with the assistance of patrol officers, he was placed under arrest. A search resulted in the recovery of fentanyl, hydromorphone, oxycodone, as well as a room key for a local motel in Niagara Falls.  Detectives searched the motel room resulting in the recovery of a credit card sized single shot .22 caliber firearm. Detectives also recovered 631.3 grams of suspected fentanyl, 84 oxycodone pills, 434 hydromorphone pills, 20 fentanyl patches, and $400.00 believed to be counterfeit Canadian currency.  The combined estimated value of all drugs seized is $201,750. 34 year old Richard Thomas Caissie of no fixed address has been arrested and faces a total of ten charges. The female has since been identified as 26 year old Jasmine Marie Scarbro of St. Catharines.  She is currently WANTED for the seven criminal offences.
