Niagara Regional Police began an investigation in June into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout St. Catharines. On Tuesday, October 10th, detectives executed a search warrant on Ontario Street near Beech Street. As a result of the investigation, three suspects have been arrested and charged. In total, 210 grams of suspected fentanyl and 26 grams of suspected cocaine was seized, with an estimated total value of $44,600. Detectives also recovered $2,987 believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime. 33 year old Marcus MAKHURANE-CHAFUDZIKA of Richmond Hill, along with 38 year old Peter LANGRIDGE and 48 year old Lee Alan WALTERS, both of St. Catharines have been arrested and face charges.
