Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association vote for possible strike

A day after the Elementary Teacher’s Federation of Ontario voted in favour of a strike mandate, no the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) voted 97 percent in favour of authorizing strike action. OECTA President René says he is not stating a strike will happen but just like the ETFO this adds pressure for a deal to be done from the province. Education Minister Stephen Lecce says it’s “disappointing” to see the OECTA has voted this way.
