NRPS Investigating Serious Three Vehicle Collision on Ridgeway Rd. in Fort Erie

Emergency services personnel were called for a report of a serious collision involving three vehicles on Ridgeway Road near Lynwood Lane in Fort Erie just after 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Police say two cars collided.  Police say two cars collided head on. The male driver of a Toyota Corolla, a 54-year-old man from Niagara Falls suffered life threatening injuries and was transported from the scene in critical condition to a local hospital. He was later flown by Ornge Air Ambulance to an out of region hospital. The driver of a Ford Mustang, a 49-year-old man from Oakville was transported from the scene to a local hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The initial investigation determined the Toyota had been traveling south bound at a high rate of speed on Ridgeway Road. It collided with the Ford and then into a parked, un-occupied car. The investigation remains ongoing.
