Niagara Ice Dogs last night and more

Last night, the Niagara Ice Dogs would go to Barrie to take on the Colts…The Ice Dogs would

come out flying, breaking the ice just 8:20 into the first period when William Stewart would net his 4th of the season to make it 1-0 Niagara.

Just 5 minutes and 7 seconds later Mathieu Paris who was playing in his 100th game for the club would score to make it 2-0.

As the period was expiring, the Colts would get on the board, when Rielly Patterson would net his 28th goal of the season.

In the second, the Ice Dogs would retain their 2 goal lead when Ivan Galiyanov would beat Sam Hillenrandt (Hill-a-brant) to make it 3-1.

5 minutes later the Colts would cut the lead back to 1 as Bode Steward would find a way to beat Charlie Robertson, its now 3-2 for the Ice Dogs

With just 38 seconds to go in the second period, the unlikely goal scorer and St. Catharines native Grayson Tiller would get 3rd of the season to tie it up at 3.

Shots in favor of the Colts 30-13.

To the 3rd period

Where the Ice Dogs would start strong and get rewarded as Masen Wray would get his 5th of season, and 2nd with Niagara.

The Ice Dogs would try weather the storm, but it wouldn’t be to long until the Colts would tie it up once again when Cole Beaudion found the back of the net to make it 4-4

A fleury of shots and chances in the 3rd period wouldn’t be enough to finish this on regulation.

Where both teams would exchange posts and chances back and forth, but neither team found the back of the net.

A shootout was needed
