NIAGARA FALLS SANTA CLAUS PARADE & TREE LIGHTING EVENT AT CITY HALL SET FOR SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18

The City of Niagara Falls has released details for the 2023 Santa Claus Parade, presented by Ontario Power Generation, to take place on Saturday, November 18.

Santa Claus Parade, presented by Ontario Power Generation | 3:30 p.m.
More than 50 community groups, bands, floats, characters, performers and, of course, Santa Claus, will be participating in this year’s parade. See below for the official route. The parade will run rain or shine.

Niagara Health Foundation Tree Lighting | 5:15 p.m.
Immediately following the parade, the Niagara Health Foundation Tree Lighting will take place in Centennial Square at City Hall. Sponsored by Alectra, the tree lighting officially kicks off Niagara Health Foundation’s annual Celebration of Lights to raise funds for urgently needed equipment at our local hospitals.

Santa Claus Meet & Greet, presented by Niagara Helicopters | 5:30 p.m. immediately following the tree lighting
After the tree lighting, at approximately 5:30 p.m., residents are invited to remain in Centennial Square for a meet & greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus, presented by Niagara Helicopters. The event will feature live entertainment, hot chocolate, food trucks (including Cookies by Gia and Soup & Things) and more, presented by Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc.

Route & Road Closures 
The parade will commence on Victoria Avenue at Armoury Street, heading northbound on Victoria to Valley Way. The route will then veer from Valley Way onto Queen Street, ending at Centennial Square in front of City Hall. See below for a map of the parade route, including road closures.

 

Volunteers
The City is looking for volunteers to assist with the parade and tree-lighting event. Visit niagarafalls.ca/santa to complete a volunteer application form.
