In July , Niagara Regional Police detectives assigned to the Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation into multiple uploads of child pornography to Facebook and other social media platforms by the same user. Detectives recently executed a search warrant at a residential address in Niagara Falls. As a result of the investigation one suspect has been arrested. 19 year old Richard Stapells of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with two counts of possessing child pornography, and one count each of making child pornography available and accessing child pornography.
