Just before 4:30 Friday afternoon, Niagara Regional Police attended the area of Glendale Avenue and Old Glendale Road in St. Catharines in regards to an indecent act call. Police say an elderly male was touching and exposing himself in the parking lot of 12 Mile Creek while walking behind an adult female. Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses who indicated the actions of the male suspect were visible to those walking in the area. With the assistance of witnesses, officers located the male suspect and subsequently placed him under arrest. 81 year old Clement Gonsalves of Toronto has been charged with commit an indecent act in a public place. Gonsalves was released on a Form 10 – Undertaking and is expected to appear in court on December 22. Detectives have reason to believe there may be more victims.
