Four People Arrested in Relation to Stabbing and Drug Charges in St. Catharines

Around 1:20 Tuesday afternoon, Niagara Regional Police were conducting crime patrol when they observed a stabbing occur in the area of Court Street and North Street in St Catharines. Investigation revealed that three male suspects had entered into a verbal dispute with an 18-year-old male when the dispute escalated into violence and the male suspects physically assaulted and stabbed the victim. Detectives immediately intervened and placed the suspects under arrest. The victim was transported to a local hospital and sustained minor physical injuries. Detectives later executed a warrant in the area of Catharine Street and Francis Street and seized 2oz of suspected Fentanyl. The total street value is: $12,000. 23 year-old Ju-ron S. Fertilien of St. Catharines and a 16-year-old male from St. Catharines each face multipe charges. A 17-year-old Thorold male was arrested and charged with assault and possession for purpose of trafficking, and 49 year old Heather Twinn of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with possession for purpose of trafficking. The two teens cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
