Fort Erie Detectives Investigating Armed Robbery

Just before 6:30 Wednesday morning, Niagara Regional Police responded to a residential address in the area of Courtwright Street near Central Avenue in Fort Erie regarding a robbery that just occurred. Officers spoke with the victim, a 21 year old male, who indicated he was inside his residence when there was a knock at the door.  Two suspects, one of whom was known to the victim, demanded that he surrender personal belongings.  A firearm was drawn, and an altercation took place resulting in the discharge of the firearm by one of the two suspects.  The victim was not struck by the bullet; however, he was physically assaulted before successfully fleeing the residence to safety. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. One suspect has since been identified. 23 year old Shawn Leonard George-Isaacs of no fixed address is WANTED for one count of robbery with a firearm.  He is considered to be ARMED & DANGEROUS.  If seen, members of the public should not approach him, and are encouraged to contact 9-1-1 immediately. The second suspect who has not yet been identified is described as a black male, in his early 20’s, 5’11” to 6’0” tall with an average build and black hair in dreadlocks. The involved firearm has not been recovered.
