Just before 6:30 Wednesday morning, Niagara Regional Police responded to a residential address in the area of Courtwright Street near Central Avenue in Fort Erie regarding a robbery that just occurred. Officers spoke with the victim, a 21 year old male, who indicated he was inside his residence when there was a knock at the door. Two suspects, one of whom was known to the victim, demanded that he surrender personal belongings. A firearm was drawn, and an altercation took place resulting in the discharge of the firearm by one of the two suspects. The victim was not struck by the bullet; however, he was physically assaulted before successfully fleeing the residence to safety. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. One suspect has since been identified. 23 year old Shawn Leonard George-Isaacs of no fixed address is WANTED for one count of robbery with a firearm. He is considered to be ARMED & DANGEROUS. If seen, members of the public should not approach him, and are encouraged to contact 9-1-1 immediately. The second suspect who has not yet been identified is described as a black male, in his early 20’s, 5’11” to 6’0” tall with an average build and black hair in dreadlocks. The involved firearm has not been recovered. Area residences are encouraged to review their surveillance footage.
