ETFO voted in favour of potential strike

A strike could be looming for Ontario’s elementary teachers who voted heavily in favour of a strike mandate. The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario says a strike isn’t guaranteed, however this puts strain on the province to get a deal done. The ETFO and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association called strike votes last month…after turning down an offer from the province to take outstanding issues to binding arbitration.
