Niagara Regional Police responded to a shooting incident on Chippawa Parkway between Daly Street and Norton Street in Niagara Falls just before 7:30 Saturday morning. Upon arrival, officers learned an area resident was awoken to a 28-year-old male knocking on their door complaining of having been shot. Niagara EMS paramedics transported the victim to an out-of-town trauma centre. The victim remains in hospital at this time suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Investigation thus far has led detectives to believe it to be a targeted incident and there is no known threat to public safety.
