On Friday, November 10, at approximately 8:17am, Niagara Regional Police attended the area of Clarke Street and South Service Road, in Grimsby for a suspicious circumstances call. Investigation revealed a body was located in this area. Detectives from the NRPS 8 District – Grimsby office, the Forensic Services Unit and the Coroner are investigating the matter further. Police say there is no danger to the public.
Further details about the deceased are not being released at this time pending positive identification and notification of the next of kin.
Anyone that was in the area of Christie Street and Ontario Street in Grimsby, on November 9, from 9:00pm-11:00pm or anyone who has surveillance video or dash camera footage in the area, is asked to contact detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111, option 3 extension 1009528.
