Niagara Regional Police asked some St. Catharines residents to shelter-in-place this morning after reports of an armed person. Police were called at 8:30 AM after reports of a man walking into Enterprise Truck Rental, displaying a gun while demanding keys to a vehicle. He then fled the area. There was a heavy police presence in the area of Lake Street and Scott St., including ETU and K9 as police conducted a thorough search. The shelter in place was later lifted. No further details are available at this time.
