Arrests made in Heartland Forest vandalism investigation

The investigation into the August 9 vandalism at Heartland Forest in Niagara Falls has been ongoing by Niagara Regional Police. As a result of that investigation detectives were able to identify four suspects. 19 year old Devon McIntyre of St. Catharines, 18 year old Paul Brunning of Welland, a 17-year-old male from Welland and a 17-year-old male from St. Catharines have all been arrested and charged with mischief over $5000. All four males were released from custody on Form 10 Undertakings with future court dates.The Youth Criminal Justice Act of Canada prohibits the Niagara Region Police Service from releasing the identities of the accused young persons in the matter. The estimate for repair and replacement of damaged items at Heartland Forest is $15,000.
