A busy Thanksgiving weekend on the local hockey scene

As always, it will be a busy weekend on the local hockey scene….

The Niagara Icedogs kick things off on Thursday night at the Meridian Centre, as they host the Mississauga Steelheads in OHL action.

The Icedogs only other game this weekend is a trip to Barrie for a Saturday night tilt.

There’s GOJHL action Friday night at the Seymour Hannah Centre in St. Catharines, as the Falcons host the Hamilton Kilty B’s.

Also Friday, October 6th, the Welland Jr. Canadiens visit Port Colborne for a 7:30 start against the Sailors at the Vale Centre.

Saturday night, October 7th, Pelham visits Fort Erie, with a 7pm puck drop at the Leisureplex, while Port Colborne visits Caledonia

On Sunday, October 8th, Fort Erie travels to Caledonia, St. Catharines will be in Pelham for a 2:45 start, and Hamilton will be at Welland for a 7 o’clock faceoff.

In the Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Niagara Falls Canucks host the Brantford 99’ers on Friday night. That’s a 7 o’clock start at the Gale Centre

OUA men’s hockey, the Brock Badgers play their home opener at Canada Games Park on Friday evening, October 6th, with a 6 o’clock game vs the Lakehead University Thunderwolves, A rematch between the two teams goes Saturday afternoon at 4
